Saga Education | Freelance Concept Artist (December 2020):
  • Worked with the client on an internal game pitch that considered: a tight deadline, a target audience, and a desired play style.

  • Created visuals for characters, environments, and some UI elements

Deck Nine Games | Contract Concept Artist (September 2020 - October 2020):
  • Worked directly with the Art Director, Writer, and Production to create several illustrations in a short time

  • Painted realistic 2D portraits using character prompts and an established visual style

Backflip Studios | Sr. Concept Artist (June 2015 - December 2019):
  • Started as an art generalist but quickly transitioned into a concept artist role; eventually rose to that of a Senior Concept Artist after several years.

  • Responsible for 2D character, creature, and environment creation.

  • Carried rough concepts through to polished illustration; set visual standards, mood, and color pallets; created 2D puppet assets ready for animation; and assisted with texturing and coloring 3D assets.

  • Took on leadership & mentorship roles often. 

  • Collaborated with 3D artists, leads, designers, animators, producers, engineers, and marketing teams frequently.

  • Worked on a project to project basis, contributing to 3 mobile games in total: Dragonvale, Dragonvale World, and an Unreleased title.

  • Designed graphics for Western-wear apparel including: Cinch, Southern Thread, and Cruel Girl.

  • Worked closely with a team of fashion designers, artists, and technical designers. 

Treehouse Brand Stores (now ThinkGeek Denver) | Illustrator & Designer (July 2012 to July 2013):
  • Illustrated and designed officially licensed gaming merchandise ready for online retail.

  • Created custom apparel from concept to garment.

  • Created mood boards to inspire and visually present ideas.

  • Worked directly with other artists, producers, technical designers, and the CEO to finalize products.

  • Created and maintained brands for game studios and publishers including: Bethesda, Bioware, Gearbox, Crystal Dynamics, Irrational Games, Microsoft, Electronic Arts, and Popcap. 

Disney Online: Boulder Studios | Associate Animator Intern (May 2011 to June 2012):
  • Designed characters and backgrounds for motion comics, created promotional artwork, and assisted with animation. 

  • Worked with a team to conceptualize Disney Online’s first mobile app (Pixel’D) with a unique user     interface and 8-bit characters specifically for a child audience.
